The owners, who purchased this home in 2014, have been finding all kinds of unique items throughout the house. The most interesting, perhaps, is that neighbors have told them there is an old train car buried in the front yard. Now THAT is something you don’t hear everyday!

The woman who lived in the house before them had been there since 1967. Check out this old real estate listing card that was given to the new homeowners:

See the window in the garage in the photo above? Notice it is not there now:

But only because someone sided over it:

This home has had two additions to the original structure and the homeowners are working hard to make it a cohesive space and restore some of its original beauty. They removed the carpet to reveal the beautiful oak floors underneath. The home also features cove ceilings, original doors & trim, and awesome wallpaper that appears to be original with the additions. One of the doors even has the original glass knob and skeleton key.

Although it’s a little dark, there is a beautiful back room with a large brick fireplace.

We’re not the only ones who love the huge lot – the dogs do too 🙂

Thank you to Bob & Gwenn for sharing your home with us!

**The house has since been sold in 2018.
